> Sift is an AI-powered trust check for anything you buy online. Give it a product link, pasted listing text, or a screenshot, and Sift runs an automated background check, then returns a single 0–100 trust score with a plain-English Verified / Caution / Red Flag verdict and a 15-second buyer summary.

Sift does the homework a careful shopper never has time for — across messy marketplaces like Amazon, Temu, TikTok Shop, Shein, and AliExpress — and informs the decision without making it for you. Every finding links back to a real source.

## What Sift checks

- **Marketing claims, fact-checked.** Each claim in a listing is labeled true, exaggerated, unverifiable, or red flag, with a short reason.
- **Live safety-recall checks.** Cross-references official FDA and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) data in real time. A confirmed recall is a hard override and forces the lowest verdict.
- **Ingredient intelligence.** For beauty, food, and supplements, Sift explains what each ingredient does, how strong the evidence is, and flags allergens, irritants, or substances restricted in other regions. Includes a pore-clogging (comedogenic) check for skincare.
- **Honest brand and seller trust.** Separates proven issues from unresolved allegations and labels unknown sellers as "unverified" instead of rewarding them with a high score.
- **Saved history and a grounded shopping assistant** that answers questions using only the items you've saved.

## How it works

- Any input — a URL, raw listing text, or a screenshot — produces one verdict.
- A single agentic pipeline structures the input, decomposes claims, checks recall databases, analyzes ingredients, scores the seller, and synthesizes a composite score with a readable summary.
- The model is constrained to real data and real sources; it is designed to be calibrated and honest about uncertainty rather than confidently wrong.
